Our services are provided on an “as-is” and “as available” basis and include, but are not limited to, facilitating the submission of service requests and connecting Users with appropriate Tradies from our network.

All features on our website fall under the term “Services.” Any future services, features, or additions will also be subject to these Terms of Service.

2.1. Disclaimer

All material on the Trades Connect Geelong website is created for marketing and informational purposes. Trades Connect Geelong does not provide any warranties regarding the accuracy, probable outcomes, or reliability of the use of the content on its website or any sites linked to it.

The services that Trades Connect Geelong offers are strictly of a connection and facilitation nature. Trades Connect Geelong does not perform the trade work itself and does not assume responsibility for, control over, or ownership of the following:

• 2.1.1. Performance of Trade Services: Trades Connect Geelong is not a party to the agreement between the User and the Tradie. We do not perform, supervise, or control the work carried out by the Tradies in our network. The responsibility for the quality, safety, and completion of the work rests solely with the contracted Tradie.

• 2.1.2. Financial Transactions: Trades Connect Geelong is not involved in any financial transactions between the User and the Tradie. Users are responsible for paying Tradies directly for their services according to the terms they agree upon. We are not a financial intermediary or escrow agent.

• 2.1.3. Vetting Process: While we undertake a vetting process for Tradies in our network, we do not provide a warranty or guarantee for the quality of their work. Users are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence before hiring any Tradie.

3. Use License

All material and content on the website are owned by or licensed to Trades Connect Geelong. Users are permitted to use our website and services for personal, non-commercial use only to find and connect with local tradespeople.

Users and website visitors may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute any website content for commercial purposes.

• Use any website content for public display without permission.

• Transfer or "mirror" the materials on another server.

4. User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for providing accurate and complete information when submitting a service request, including contact details and a clear description of the job required. The User is responsible for communicating directly with the Tradie, agreeing on the scope of work and payment terms, and making full payment to the Tradie for services rendered.

5. Confidentiality

Trades Connect Geelong respects the confidentiality of User information. We will not disclose your personal information to third parties other than the vetted Tradie(s) we connect you with for your service request, except as required by law. For more details, please review our Privacy Policy.

6. Limitation of Liability

Trades Connect Geelong and its affiliates are in no way liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or from the work performed by any Tradie connected through our platform. Any dispute, damage, or issue related to the trade service must be resolved directly between the User and the Tradie.

7. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. Trades Connect Geelong is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by us, and the use of any such linked website is at the user's own risk.

8. SMS Messaging

• 8.1. Consent to Receive SMS Messages: By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from Trades Connect Geelong for purposes including, but not limited to, service request confirmations, follow-ups, and communication related to connecting you with a Tradie. You acknowledge that message and data rates may apply.

• 8.2. Opt-Out: You can opt-out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying “STOP” to any message you receive from us. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from Trades Connect Geelong.
